Teacher’s Day
We have discussed a lot about the importance of teachers in my life and how it affected many persons. Fortunately world also thinks same and they even have a day for celebrating and showing the gratitude to teachers as teacher’s day. Teacher’s day is the day on which people remember the great teachers in their life and appraise them by some means. 5th October is celebrated as world’s teacher’s day and it is holiday in many countries and many countries treat it in working day. We have many different teachers’ days also in different countries. Like in India teacher’s day is celebrated on 5th September, that is the birthday of Independent India’s second president. In United States of America teacher’s day is celebrated on a full week. It’s the first week of the month of May when full America comes and celebrates the teacher’s appreciation week and appraise the great teachers in their life.
Teachers day posses a real importance because it is the day when we celebrate the importance of the teachers in our life by appraising them, meeting them or calling them. It’s not a single teacher worldwide, but the teachers in your life, who have teacher you the various principles in life. I celebrate it every year because I know what it takes to be a teacher and how they are treated generally.
What we do on teacher’s day?
Teachers day is a special day in each year, we celebrate it by arranging a alumni teacher meet in our school and college and appraise them by giving gifts and momentous. We give appraise to current teachers also by selecting a best teacher and giving them award. Students on this day work as a teacher and take few classes till half day. A student is selected on their performance as a teacher by the teachers and college give him also a award for his work.
You must be thinking what a busy and hectic day to celebrate, but actually it is more of fun because of the student involvement, they get to know what it takes to be a teacher and also what needs to be done for regulating the class. The most fun thing is they see what students do in the classes, after all teachers position is the most important position in the class. I have seen many rough students getting normal after their experience as teacher.
The actual purpose of this activity is giving teachers a break and improving the student stage daring and communication. It helps students a lot in their life and become a real eye opening experience for them.
We celebrate many days like chocolate day, valentine day but I think most important days are mother’s day, father’s day and teachers day because these are the persons who give us knowledge when we need it really. On each teachers day I try to go to my college and school to meet the old teachers and new once also, it’s a great experience each year.
